Cockley Cley's flint-and-brick cottages carry some of the oldest chimney stacks in the Breckland area — and we rebuild them properly, stack to haunching.
The village sits on the edge of the Breckland heathland, and many properties here are traditional Norfolk flint construction with clay-pot stacks that have taken decades of easterly wind off the fens. Frost-spalling mortar and leaning stacks are common on the older cottages near the Iceni village site, where the original lime mortar has long since failed.
We rebuild chimney stacks using matching materials — including lime mortar where required for pre-war properties — so the repair sits sympathetically with the existing flintwork. If your stack looks out of plumb or the pointing is crumbling away, call us for a free chimney survey.
